American BBQ Glazed Ham

Ingredients

5 kg leg ham, bone in, skin on
- 1 cup water

3/4 cup honey
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 3 tbsp dijon mustard
- 1 packet Mingle American BBQ roast or rub
Glaze:
Directions
Take the ham out of the fridge 1 hour before cooking.
- Preheat oven to 160°C / 320°F.
- Mix glaze: honey, brown sugar, mustard + BBQ rub.
- Remove the rind and score the fat in a diamond pattern. Don’t cut so far down, it cuts the meat. Add cloves to the diamonds if using.
- Place ham in a large baking dish, and level the surface with foil.
- Pour 1 cup of water into the pan.
- Brush half the glaze all over the ham.
Bake 1.5–2 hours, basting every 30 mins with glaze & pan juices.
Tip: Cover dark spots loosely with foil if needed. This prevents burning.- Rest for 20 mins, baste again, slice & serve with pan juices.
