Not to mention that enough sleep helps to regulate your cortisol which in turns helps your body get out of fight or flight and for you to lose some of that unwanted belly fat. 

When we are stressed, our cortisol rises and our body goes into 'fight or flight' mode. Basically, we think we are in danger and we are running for our lives. As a result, our body protects us and helps us to live for as long as possible by storing fat around our organs. This way, if there was a famine, our organs can feed off the fat until we hopefully get food. 

Clearly, we aren't running for our lives (most of the time), but everyday stressors of travel, work, social media, and email, increases our cortisol and this has the same response in our body as if we were running from a tiger.
